• Soak brushes and combs in hot water
• Bag items that cannot be washed for a couple of weeks if it gives you peace of mind

Deep cleaning the whole house is not necessary. Head lice do not live long away from a human head, and the CDC advises against fumigant sprays, which can be harmful when inhaled or absorbed through skin.
